Fine Artisan Sculptural Jewellery for Everyday
The Vanrif Jewellery label was born in 2019 by Sydney-based jewellery designer Jeanette Stephenson.
‘Vanrif’ is a combination of Jeanette’s Dutch mother’s and Egyptian father’s family names. Jeanette completed her studies in jewellery manufacture and design at the Enmore Design Centre and has mentored under master jewellers at some of Sydney's finest institutions
With a love of the ancient worlds, stars and planets, Australian flora and fauna and anything simply intriguing, Jeanette’s jewellery is an expression of the elements she loves.
Artist Statement
“Enchanted by storytelling through various forms of self-expression, I chose the miniature world of jewellery and aspire for my wearable art to become your own story”.​
Vanrif jewellery is designed and hand-made in Jeanette’s Sydney studio, using recycled Australian precious metals with traditional silver and gold smithing methods. Including also the ancient lost wax casting technique.

The core value of the label is to create bespoke sustainably focused, everyday fine artisan jewellery, unconcerned with fleeting commercial trends to be passed on as heirlooms, creating a personal history and connection for each wearer.
Globe Opal Bangle was Jeanette's finalist piece at the 2019 Australian and New Zealand, Jewellery Design Awards.
